Showing His Love

So we were watching the Huckabee show and were inspired to share this video with you. We've seen it before but didn't think much about it until now when we heard Jeff Bethke talk about it on Huckabee. After watching the show we went back to see the video again. And we were inspired by something he had said, " The church is not a museum for good people but a hospital for the broken". Hearing this  reminded  us of a song by Matthew West called "My own little world". In the song he talks about us being too busy with our own little world that we forget to see those around us calling out for help and to hear God calling us to help them.We get so consumed by our lives, by facebook, by twitter, by  who has the latest Iphone and forget to slow down and listen to those around us.
God calls us to be the hospital for the broken. Not  to be so consumed by our own life to be so perfect that we can be displayed  in a museum. Maybe its smiling to the next person you walk past, the friend that just needs to know you are thinking of them, or taking the time to let your family know how much they mean to you. We have decided to challenge anyone out there as well as ourselves to slow down and listen to those around you. And to do something for someone else.
If  you decide to take up the challenge we would love to hear about it. Also we would love to pray for anyone who needs prayer. Leave us a comment letting us know how the challenge went and your prayer request.

The next part of the award is to answer questions from the blogger who passed it to you.

Who/what inspired you to create your blog?
We started our blog because of our family's encouragement to start one.

How did you come up with your blog name?
We knew that we wanted this blog to be about our life and to hopefully touch someone on the way. But we could not think of what to call it , so it was our mom's idea to call it R Life as TwinZ.

What is your favorite food and/or drink?
Twin A: Having a sweet tooth the size of Texas, all sweets are my favorite.( oh, and BACON)
Twin B: Growing up in a family that loves to cook I don't really have a favorite type of food, but my favorite snack that I have to have before bed is a peanut butter and banana sandwich with a glass of almond chocolate milk. =D

What's your hidden talent?
Our hidden talent is that we can read each others mind. Like right now my sister is thinking of Skittles.
(It's an inside joke)

If you could choose one vacation spot in the entire world, where would you go and why?
That's an easy one, France. It's a place we have been dreaming of going for a long time. We even took French in high school. Je parle francais.

What's the weirdest or most exotic thing you've ever eaten?
We can't say we've been brave enough to try something exotic, but the weirdest thing we've ever eaten is ketchup on broccoli. And we love it.

Which is your color that best describes you?
Twin A: purple and sparkle. Purple because it is my favorite color and sparkle because I sparkle.
Twin B: Pink because it is my favorite color and it's a happy, girly color.

Would you rather be blind, deaf, or mute?
We both agree that we'll rather be blind having volunteered with the blind kids olympics. Being with them was such a blessing , we learned so much from them.

What's your current outfit?

Flashback Tuesday

Today is flashback Tuesday, childhood photos, over at whyyyjen.blogspot.com
We chose this picture because this is still us today. This photo shows the relationship of twins. We have always been each others best friend and still are to this day. People ask us all the time weird questions such as if we fight or why we do everything together? They just don't understand the love between twins. <3

Eat More Chicken

As you might have heard August 1 was Chick-fil-a Appreciation day. And crowds of people showed up to show their support. I even heard that they where open 3 hours after closing just to serve everyone. We couldn't make it to Chick-fil-a yesterday, so we went today for lunch. It's always great to support a business that stands for their beliefs. It's what makes America so great. And as Chick-fil-a says " Eat More Chicken".

What We Have Been Working On

Hi everyone its been a little crazy lately, so we haven't had much time to post anything new. Sorry, still trying to get use to blogging. But we got a little time to share with you a project we have been working on this week.
We have been trying to find something to put over our dresser in our room, but we didn't know what to do. That is until Pinterest came to our rescue. What would we do without Pinterest. After seeing this great idea for a pin board we decided to make it ourselves.

After looking in our garage we found this old frame         which  was perfect, but we decided to paint it white to go with our room. Then, as we were looking at the frame, we found a pin board that we use to use in our classroom.
We then went to our favorite shop Jo-anns and found this great fabric which is white with a pattern. We chose this fabric because the pattern is similar  to the chair that is in our room.
And this is the finished project.
We have to go now, we have another crazy week ahead. Can't wait to share with you what we have been
busy with.
