Showing His Love

So we were watching the Huckabee show and were inspired to share this video with you. We've seen it before but didn't think much about it until now when we heard Jeff Bethke talk about it on Huckabee. After watching the show we went back to see the video again. And we were inspired by something he had said, " The church is not a museum for good people but a hospital for the broken". Hearing this  reminded  us of a song by Matthew West called "My own little world". In the song he talks about us being too busy with our own little world that we forget to see those around us calling out for help and to hear God calling us to help them.We get so consumed by our lives, by facebook, by twitter, by  who has the latest Iphone and forget to slow down and listen to those around us.
God calls us to be the hospital for the broken. Not  to be so consumed by our own life to be so perfect that we can be displayed  in a museum. Maybe its smiling to the next person you walk past, the friend that just needs to know you are thinking of them, or taking the time to let your family know how much they mean to you. We have decided to challenge anyone out there as well as ourselves to slow down and listen to those around you. And to do something for someone else.
If  you decide to take up the challenge we would love to hear about it. Also we would love to pray for anyone who needs prayer. Leave us a comment letting us know how the challenge went and your prayer request.
