Better Then Cinnabon

So we found this recipe on pinterest for cinnamon bites and of course we had to try them. And they were just as the title says better then Cinnabon. This recipe was not allergy free when we found it, we had to convert it. So we decided to share with you the allergy friendly recipe and hope you enjoy.

Ingredients:

Dough:
  • 1 & 1/2 cups hot water {as hot as you can get it out of the tap - not boiling.}
  • 1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
  • 1&1/2 Tbsp. coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. canola oil
  • 3 & 1/2 to 4 cups special flour *
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Earth Balance soy free butter, melted

icing:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp. almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Earth Balance soy free butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
  1. In a small bowl, combine water, yeast and sugar and let sit until frothy. {about 5 minutes}
  2. Add the salt and canola oil and mix well.
  3. In a large bowl, yeast mixture and about 2 cups of flour.
  4. Stir in the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until dough starts to pull away from sides and is no longer sticky.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  6. Let rise for one hour, until doubled in size. {Or if you're doing this the night before, just place it in the refrigerator and go to bed.}
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  8. In a small bowl, combine sugars and cinnamon.
  9. Place butter in another small bowl.
  10. Rip off small pieces of dough {I used like a quarter size} and roll into a ball.
  11. Dip the ball in the butter and then roll it around in the sugar mixture; place on a cookie sheet.
  12. Repeat steps 12 & 13 until you fill your cookie sheet up and then bake for 10-12 minutes.
  13. Do this until all the dough is gone.
  14. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  15. Use a spoon to drizzle your frosting over the cinnamon roll bites.
  16. Serve warm.
*1cup rice flour, 1/2 sweet rice flour, 1/2 potato starch, 1/4 tapioca starch and 1&1/2 tsp. xanthan gum

Revolve tour 2013

This last weekend we want to the Revolve tour with our mom, aunt and cousin Kenadi. And it was a blast. Me, my mom and aunt all volunteered at Revolve,We had so much fun. I volunteered with the WorldVision table. I was so happy to be able to give back to WorldVision, they are an amazing foundation that helps children around the world. And I have been so blessed by WorldVision. Me and my sister sponsor a set of twins from South Africa, because of the Revolve tour, our first year to Revolve we felt God calling us to sponsor but we didn't have the money to, so we decided to save until the next year. When the next Revolve came around we had saved 6 months of sponsorship and we prayed and trusted God to provide each month. And that's what he has done each month, we have some how by God's help been able to sponsor our beautiful twins. Now I thought you might like to see some pictures from Revolve so here they are.

This is me at the WorldVision Table.

This is Natalie Grant, she was amazing as always.
And she has twin daughters, how can you not like her.

This is Austin Gutwein he spoke at our first Revolve and he was the one who
inspired us to sponsor. At 9 years old he started Hoops of Hope to raise money
for children with WorldVision.

Anthem Lights was awesomazable (that's our new favorite word).

Our cousin Kenadi with Alan from Anthem Lights.

Our cousin Kenadi with Caleb, Joey and Chad from Anthem Lights.

This is our new favorite song by Anthem Lights.

It truly was  awesomazable. And I encourage every one if you are a tween, teen
or an  adult who knows a young girl to find a Revolve tour near you and go
and have a blast. It will change your life.

P.S. Sorry we haven't been on our blog lately but we have been busy with
school.  We are going to try and do more on the blog so stay tuned for more.

Happy Birthday!

Today is our 19th Birthday. And I am so excited because I got to eat a cupcake for breakfast (I think I feel a sugar coma coming today lol). But today my sister has school so we made cookies for her class and when she gets home then we will celebrate with our parents. Of course I had a little fun giving my sister a hard time because I have the day off from school and she didn't. As some of you may know we love vintage clothing so today we both dressed up for our Birthday in vintage inspired clothes.

Nothing like fresh bread

Some of you might know that me and my sister have food allergies. Like soy, gluten, and dairy. Most stuff me and my sister have been able to find a substitute but the one thing that has been the hardest is bread. Sometimes  its to dry to eat  or its just as hard a a rock.  But we have finally found a recipe that works and it is the best bread, its soft and moist. I think I am addicted to the bread I had three pieces as soon as it came out of the oven.

had the party at a bowling lounge. It was the coolest bowling place I have ever been to. Everyone had a blast none of us were that great at bowling and I think that is what made it so fun because no one was serious about the bowling, we where all able to laugh at ourselves.

Day 26

Have you ever felt like you just want to praise God and jump in joy. Because you are just filled with joy in knowing God.  I know  me and my sister are doing what God has planned for us. And I pray that we live our life for Him and we go where He wants us to go. Just like the Francesca Battistelli  song "Strangely Dim" says " I'm gonna fix my eyes on all that you are" our eyes are fixed on God and God alone. One of my favorite verse is Philippians 4:13 " For I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"

Well that's because we have allergies. And one thing I haven't been able to
figure out how to cook allergy free is pancakes. But not anymore we have finally  figured it out. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

4)
On Monday I start school which i am so excited about. I know this is where God is calling me and I can't wait to see where he leads me.

5)
Our favorite band just came out with their new single "Words" which is now my
favorite song. And on April 2,2013 their album comes out. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
